The processing of steel bars generally involves four processes: rust removal of steel bars; Straightening of steel bars; Steel bar cutting; Forming of steel bars.

When the steel bar joint is connected with straight or conical threads, it is also necessary to add the steel bar end upsetting and thread processing procedures. Rebar batching and replacement Rebar replacement

(1) When replacing the steel bars specified in the design documents with steel bars of another steel grade or diameter, the following regulations should be followed:

The principle of equal design values for the bearing capacity of steel bars should be followed, and the replacement of steel bars should meet the specified structural requirements such as steel bar spacing, anchoring length, and minimum steel bar diameter.

When replacing lower grade steel bars with higher grade steel bars, it is advisable to use the method of changing the diameter of the steel bars instead of changing the number of steel bars to reduce the cross-sectional area of the steel bars.

(2) When using a certain diameter steel bar of the same steel grade to replace another diameter steel bar, the diameter variation range should not exceed 4mm. The ratio of the total cross-sectional area of the changed steel bar to the cross-sectional area specified in the design document should not be less than 98% or more than 103%.

(3) When replacing the main reinforcement with steel bars of the same steel grade, the spacing should be kept constant, and two types of steel bars with diameters one level larger and one level smaller than the designed steel bar diameter can be used for replacement.
